Based in Canada, the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) has been in Nepal since 1987 and has worked with LDMPCU through the Uniterra Program since 2007. CECI works to advance economic and social development through creating partnerships with local NGOs, cooperatives, private businesses, local councils, and central government agencies and departments. CECI focuses its efforts in several areas: rural economic development, governance and democracy, gender quality, and improved access to services for different castes.
Through Uniterra and CECI, LDMPCU has worked with over 20 volunteers since 2010 on animal health/nutrition and management, gender and social inclusion, communications and documentation, and special projects. After the earthquake in 2015, CECI also provided support through relief initiatives. Read more about CECI and its projects in Nepal.
